The paint job color break down
When you first start building miniatures you won’t be familiar with what parts belong to the mini and which parts Featured below from left to right we start with a layer of Owlbear Brown, which we use to coat the rocks and give the piece an earthy feel. Then we jump to Minitaur Hide to layer in a further earthy town on the dirt. Next up is a layer of skeleton bone applied to the skeleton.
Our first major coat is the Dungeon stone, applied to the entire figure of the spirits and the rocks on the dirt. We then use Abaddon Black mixed with a Technical coat to apply a glossy light black coat over the spirits. Grab the green flame and apply streaks all over the spirits liberally, making sure to leave patches of grey & black beneath.
To add an extra flare of splash some nerghul’s rot over the spirits and around the skeleton skull to give it that ectoplasmic feel. Lotherin Blue, on the spirit faces and bodies, with pink highlights added to the spirits as well.
Finally liberally apply gold to the faces, then splatter it all over the spirits cloak & trail and the skull attached to the base. As always if you want to copy the scheme I suggest painting along to the video featured below!
